It's been quite a long time since my last blog post. So, i thought i should write one just to let people know i'm alive ;) Anyway, college is starting from monday. This semester is going to be the most difficult one of all. So, i won't be able to spend much of my time on things i like to do. This has been the most productive vacation for me. Heres something i did this vacation:
* gNetconfig - A graphical network configuration tool for Frugalware linux.
* gFpm - Third re-write of the (to-be) Frugalware package manager. I hope to get this done by the end of this year ;)
* Bought a new DELL laptop :D (see pics here)

There were basically two reasons for writing gDellLcd. One being the Gnome brightness applet which never really worked for me. Secondly, i needed a way to brush-up my C++ coding skills. And this was fun. Checkout gDellLcd here -> http://priyank.one09.net/index.php?page=gDellLcd

Presenting the brand new, redesigned Gimmix 0.4.0. It has been redesigned from scratch this time around, and I assure you that its not ripped off from any other player - as have been alleged. Comments on the new UI are greatly appreciated.

Visit gimmix's official website for more screenshots and other information.

				Hi Everybody,
After 2 months of work, here's the first release of Gimmix. I would like to thank everyone who helped me with the development of Gimmix. Thanks Shastry for helping me fix the Makefile and Rohan for extensive testing. Also, not to forget the guys at #mpd, #gtk and ##c. Thank you all.
Check out the Gimmix page for more info and download link.
Frugalware users can simply install gimmix by typing pacman -S gimmix

Well, i've been getting requests to release the source code to my blogging engine. So, here it is http://priyank.one09.net/latest.tar.bz2

Note: Its not yet complete and theres no documentation included to get started with it. It should be easy to get it up and running by adjusting a few config files.
btw, HAPPY DIWALI ! :-)

Yeah im back! These days. i'm working on an MPD frontend in C using Gtk+2. Its still very limited in functionality, but stable enough to perform the basic operations.
I might release the first alpha of Gimmix by next week if i finsish the interface part. Stay tuned for more features.
Here's a work-in-progress screenshot
